The folk-group "Powiślanie"
 he folk-group "Powiślanie" was created in 1975 by Albina Krzyśpiak. "Powiślanie" has given over 1500 performances introducing beauty and variety of Polish folklore. The folk-group performed in many festivals in the country and abroad in Russia, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Holland, Finland, Italy and Vatican City, where "Powiślanie" gave concert for 30 thousand people during the audience with the Pope.
he group has been awarded many times all over the Europe. They won the Main Prize - "Amber Neptune" in Folk Festival of Northern Poland twice. They also received a special award "Deserved for Elbląg District" and Appreciation Diploma from Ministry of Culture and Art for achievments for spreading the Polish culture. In 1999 "Powiślanie" as the prizeman of Pomezania Province received an award in the National Final Folk Festival in Kołobrzeg. The same year "Powiślanie" won the Main Prize in XVIth Local Folk Festival.
 
he program of the folk-group contains dances with national and local songs from different areas of Poland like Żuławy, Powiśle, Mazury, Łowicz, Kraków, Kaszuby, Rzeszów, Lublin and many more. The original clothes characteristic of particular areas gives charm to the concerts. "Powiślanie" consists of 2 groups (youths and adults) and the music band.
